Winning is fun and Losing sucks balls

Well the fictional cubs season came to a predictable result as they best team in the NL was swept out of the NLDS by the San Francisco Giants. An inability to hit was the team’s downfall, as the NL’s leading two hitters combined to go 2-27 in the series.

Anyways on to 2014, but before that, lets hand out some hardware

And now if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna put some Taylor Swift on loop and search for her on egotastic.

Cubs WINS! Sadly this is a video game

Orange is the New Orange you Glad I didnt Say Orange?

During these dog days of Summer, many folks try out different things to pass the boredom. Some tryout various forms of hobbies, some try drinking, and others like me try to find something, anything to watch.

Now in the past, this would mostly consist of going to blockbuster to rent a video or go to Wally World to see humanity soil itself. But lucky for us, streaming services like netflix, hulu, and amazon video have entered our lives.

Without our daily Wally World viewing, Netflix and amazon(**cough illegal streams cough**) have stepped in to provide us with quality original programming. House of Cards while not great was a solid distraction, Arrested Development was hit or miss way too often, and the Zombieland TV Show was dead on arrival.

Thanks to those aforementioned streams, I was able to catch Netflix’s new show, Orange is the New Black. Now I’ve only seen a couple of episodes, but since it does have Laura Prepon, and seconds in we see her boobs, I have no doubt this show can fill the summer gap left by the Networks.

After watching a couple of episodes of that, I happen to tune into my favorite pastime, the WGN Weekend movie spectacular. This week’s showing was the great Sylvester Stallone classic, Driven. Now due to an unfortunate event(I had to poop) I missed the first half hour but caught the car wreck in progress. Now this movie was a total I dont give a fuck campaign. From top to bottom. The Actors, the writers, the director, and the editors just did not gives one fucks about it.

The climax was set in “Detroit,” and boy they managed to make that town whiter than a Jew Convention. The Visual Effects, all I can say is that I hope this was made for 3D or IMAX, and even then these were Playstation 1 graphics quality. Just cartoonish. I wont even talk about the fire scene.

Even with all that, the car crash of a movie is a must watch if you like bad movies like I do. Plus there’s boobs in there too, or at least ones you can google after.

What to Watch For

  • EPL one
  • College Football One
  • No boobs today

Coyote Ugly

The Summer solstice not only causes the earth to tilt on its axis, but also brings with it a boredom on the small screen. The major networks put their big guns on a 3-4 months hiatus leaving us with nothing to do.

Luckily the cable networks have seen this period as an opportunity to capitalize on this underserved audience with introducing news series, or new seasons of existing shows.

One such network is FX, and in a slightly ill-structured inverse pyramid(oh man I hope I’m remembering the right terms for this) I’m trying to provide you with an adequate warning that spoilers are ahead for the new FX show The Bridge, so you know, stop reading here and skip to the bottom for possible boobs.

Diane Kruger you say? Mexicans? Serial Killer? Sure I’ll watch, why not. And this also just gives me an opportunity to search for Kruger over at egotastic. But back to this show, two episodes have now aired, the number of shows I have to watch in order to properly decide whether or not to continue watching the show.

The verdict? The Serial Killer story has me intrigued much the same way Dexter did some 5 years back. Diane Kruger is easy on the eyes, so I’ll overlook her character flaw here. The Widow is so far the weak link, but I trust these writers to tie it nicely. And the mexicans you ask? They speak spanish and sometimes english. So overall, I’ll watch, though it’s not up to the quality of FX’s other shows.

But this has all been just a long delay for what I’m here for, I’ve put this off for 2 months now. I’ve been hoping and waiting for a happy ending to this story, but unfortunately there will not be one for Happy Endings. The best thing ABC has produced in the last 3 years(yes better than Modern Family) is no more.

No More Alex, No More Jane.  No More Brad, No More Max. No More Penny, No More Dave. No More Laughter on ABC.

What To Watch For

  • I’m not sure what is going on here, but well you’ll see
  • This doesnt even fit, but well Lizzy Caplan
  • And here’s a Tribute to Jon Heyman
  • My god this has been some dreadful blogging. The poor sap that read all of this, there wasn’t even in any Jew bashing.

The Dog Days of Video Games Summer

Summer has come and gone, the hitting streaks can never last, wake me up, when August ends….Here comes the hits again, homers going out, 2 wins in the last ten, becoming who we are…. a team with a 9 game lead over the Pixie Dust Cardinals.

Well that was annoying to write, and I’m sure it was annoying to read. A 14-14 month for the Digital Rosemont Cubs of Chicago, saw them end the month right where they started, in 1st with a comfortable cushion over St Louis.

Rookie of the Year and MVP candidate Jorge Soler continues to be the driving force as he ends the month with a .304 average with 31 Homers and 97 RBI. Or a Miguel Cabrera first half.

Starlin Castro continues to lead the league in hitting, Maples didnt do much but still leads the league in Wins. On the GM side, there were some salary dumps in Feldman and Villanueva to the Nats for Pitching Prospect Lucas Giolito.

And now for what you all are here for, Hardcore Nudity

What to Watch For

We going Cupping(Gold Style)

It’s that time of the year again, everyone’s favorite international soccer tournament, the CONCACAF Gold Cup!

Now normally this years edition would be filled with C-Star Rosters but thanks to an unusually smart decision by the federation(to make a playoffs out of these every two year tourneys) this year’s rosters are filled with plenty of B-Star Players!!

The Favorites

USA- Landycakes and crew will look to erase the choke job they produced in the last edition. Lucky for them Gio dos Santos wont be around this time.

Mexico- Well after pissing the bed most of 2013m Chepo and Crew managed to somehow make it to this date as Manager of the National Team.  Fabian and Omar Bravo will look to lead the line and defend the Gold Cup Crown.

The Rest

It doesnt really matter.

US will win the Gold Cup. Mexico will lose in the Semis.

Also this will be  FOX Soccer Channel’s last foray into soccer with this years coverage(the Univision Family of Networks will also broadcast)
